Roots

Dear Readers,

Trees have a hidden life you might not know about. They communicate with each other.

They share information and nutrients with each other through a network of fungi in soil. They also release pheromones and scent signals to communicate. This can help them keep each other safe and flourish in different ways.

Like trees, we need each other.

Quality relationships in life are key. It is not about how many trees surround you, but the extent to which the ones near you help you to flourish and vice versa.

Who is your network? How are they communicating with you?

I feel very blessed that my family has always felt like my foundation. They have ingrained strong values, love, and support that helps to keep me grounded and flourishing. We all care for, look out for, and enjoy each other’s company. Our connections are deep-rooted with each other which helps them to hold strong over time.

When reflecting on life, we realize it is often not what we are doing or where we are, but rather who we are with. It is the strong connections that we form that keep us growing, grounded, supported, and even enjoying life.

When we have these strong connections, we should never take them for granted. Life can get busy, but it is important to nurture quality relationships.

Relationships are like plants; you need to water them every day. They require care, attention, and devotion in order to hold strong and root deep.

If you love people in your life, tell them. Show them. Care for them.

Life is short, and you never want it to go by without telling and showing the people you love how you feel about them and what they mean to you.

Nurture your network, like trees do. Water your plants. In return, their beauty will help you flourish. You benefit from each other. We need each other.

Love,

Samantha
